We Cannot Guarantee Perfect Elections in 2015 - Jega

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega, has on Monday, said that the 2015 elections would be better than the 2011 elections, even though he cannot guarantee a perfect election.

The INEC boss made this known in Abuja while receiving the new United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. James Entwistle

 According to him, INEC is putting final torches to 2015 election time table and budgeting for the Continuous Voter’s Registration to be conducted this year.

He assured Nigerians and the international community that the commission will do its best to have credible elections in 2015.
Jega also spoke of the commission's preparation which include staff training as well as consultations with development partners towards conducting the 2015.
 
The new ambassador, Entwistle, said they were at the commission to learn bout the nation's election process and also seek ways of assisting the electoral body towards the 2015 general election preparations.
