Breaking: New Boko Haram attack leaves 80 Dead in Mafa, Borno State

The dreaded Boko Haram sect have launched another attack in Mafa local government  area of Borno State, killing no few than 80 persons. The attack which occurred in the wee hours of Monday resulted into total destruction of lives and properties in the Mafa. 

The gunmen , according to sources, ” came into Mafa town using Hilux Toyota vans armed with AK47 rifles, Improvised Explosive Devices ( IED’s ), Rocket Propelled Launchers, petrol bombs and opened fire on residents who were asleep, killing many people and several other severely injured. 

Borno State Police Commissioner, Mr. Lawal Tanko confirmed the incident but said, he is yet to get the number of casualties from the Divisional Police Officer in Mafa Council Area.

The attack  is coming barely 24 hours after they launched similar attack in Ngomari Ward in Jere and Mainok town in Konduga Local Government Area.
