The Director of Defence Information, Major-General Chris Olukolade, has said that over 165 persons apprehended in the course of military operations on terror in three states in the North-East of Nigeria are to be released from custody in compliance with presidential directive.
This he said in a press statement on Friday, January 10, 2013. Of the Suspects, 157 are from Borno, 9 from Yobe and one suspect from Adamawa State.
It's only in Nigeria that suspected terrorists are released without trials. These suspects should have been made to face the law of the Land. Despite the State of Emergency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states, the terrorists still continues to operates in the North eastern part of the country.
All hands must be on deck to resolve and end the activities of terrorists in the country.
