Former Bauchi State Governor, Adamu Mu'azu.
Information has emerged as who will be the new chairman of  People Democratic Party.
A  former Governor of Bauchi State, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, has been chosen by President Goodluck Jonathan and governors to succeed Bamanga Tukor as the new Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party.

In a meeting at the presidential villa in Abuja on Sunday,  President Goodluck Jonathan and the governors of the party picked the former Governor of Bauchi State, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu
to lead the party.

According to one of the governors  in the meeting, who asked not to be named, the governors rejected the choice of the president, Mohammed Wakil  and insisted Mu'azu would be the person for the position.

It would be recalled that the former PDP chairman, Bamanga Tukor resigned last week over crisis rocking the party.

Alhaji Mu'azu is coming to the party at  point when 5 PDP governors and some members of House of representative have defected to All Progressive congress. He would have to build bridges  to make PDP win the 2015 elections

He  was born in Boto, Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State on June 11, 1955 and was governor of Bauchi State   from May 29,  1999 to  May 29, 2007. He was succeded by Isa Yuguda
