President Jonathan Can't Remove me, Says Tukur

Every one in the political terrain is now daring the president  inability to sack them. First, was  the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido over the issue of leaked document.

The chairman of  People Democratic Party, (PDP), Bamanga Tukur has also dared Jonathan boasting that he has no power to remove him from the office.

He said  that since he was elected at a convention, he could only be removed through a properly conducted national convention.

Tukur, on Monday in Abuja told journalist that he had not been directed by the president to resign.

 He said, “I am an elected national chairman;  I have my certificate of return  and I cannot resign. A convention brought me;  so it has to take the convention that brought me for me to resign.

Recalled that the president in  a  meeting last week  with Tukur  and  other members of the PDP National Working Committee at the presidential villa  in Abuja   openly disagrees with
Tukur's  administrative style  accursing him of ineptitude and not holding NWC meetings regularly.

Three  other NWC members also openly spoke against Tukur’s leadership style.
 
Most members of the national working committee of the party refused to attend the meeting called by Tukur on Monday.
