The Chairperson, Joint Health Workers Union, Dr. Ayuba Wabba, has informed the public of the union forthcoming three-day warning strike starting on January 23.
Dr. Wabba, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, in Abuja on Saturday said the strike is aimed at getting the government to fully and unconditionally implement all agreements it signed with the union.
According to the interview, the strike is to get the government to review CONHESS and immediately start the implementation from the 1st of January, 2014
Wabba said all the Members of Joint Health Workers Union have been mandated to down tool as from Thursday, January 23, 2014.
The chairperson of the union also said, "the government must agree with all our previous agreements and shows seriousness in the health care sector".
