Defection: 11 State Lawmakers in Bayelsa Defect to APC

Almost like a torrent, Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) members are joining the All Progressive Congress in droves.

The latest defectors are coming from the home state of President Goodluck Jonathan which ordiarily should not happen.

According to Thisday, eleven members of the State House of Assembly in Bayelsa may have defected to the All Progressives Party (APC).

This is coming as the APC Wednesday inaugurated the Bayelsa state executive of the party.

A chieftain of the opposition party who spoke on condition of anonymity said the lawmakers were secretly negotiating with the party , adding that these legislators would also be involved in the membership registration exercise .
