Embattled Rivers State Commissioner of Police redeployed

In a press release today by the Police Service Commission, the embattled commissioner of police in Rivers State, Joseph Mbu  have been  redeployed. Mbu is now redeployed to the Federal Capital Territory as its new commissioner of police.

To replace the controversial CP is Mr. Johnson  Ogunsakin, whose previous position was the commissioner of police in charge of Special Fraud Unit, Lagos.

The redeployment is sequel to an order given by the leadership of the All Progressive Congress to all its lawmakers to block all executive bills including the 2014 budget if the President Jonathan fails to intervene in the crisis in Rivers State.

Twelve others commissioner of police were also redeployed.
