FG decries APC Lawmakers over blockage of 2014 Budget

The Minister of Information, Labaran Maku has on Wednesday, after the Federal Executive Council meeting condemned the threats by APC Lawmakers in the legislative house to block all executive bills especially the 2014 budget. 

While addressing the pressmen in Abuja, Maku expressed shock that the lawmakers can carry out such dastardly act given by the leadership of  All Progressive Congress, in blocking the  2014 budget. 

He said, "It is shocking that elected government officials will adhere to a directive to block executive bills of a government that is doing so much to improve the economy as well as better the lives of the common man,” 

The leadership of APC had in January given order to all its members in the legislative house to block all executive bills including the 2014 budget, to force the President  Jonathan to resolve the crisis in Rivers State
