Frank Nweke Declares Senatorial Ambitions

Former Minister of Information and present Director- General, Nigeria Economic Summit Group, (NESG), Frank Nweke (jnr) has declared his intention to contest for a senatorial slot in Enugu. 

Nweke speaking to journalist at his residence in Enugu on Saturday said he decided to contest for the senate  because of his desire to provide quality representation to people of the zone.

“I believe I am eminently qualified, and has what it takes to represent the good people of Enugu east senatorial zone at the senate come 2015.

“I also strongly believed that I have what it takes to become the most effective and vibrant Senator Enugu-East senatorial district has ever produced, if given the opportunity to serve in 2015″.

At present,  Senator Gilbert Nnaji, Chairman, Senate committee on communication occupies the slot and he will be seeking for re-elections. 

Notable persons in the race to occupy Enugu east senatorial districts are the former Governor of Enugu State Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani and the Chief of Staff to Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State, Mrs. Ifeoma Nwobodo.
