Borno: Gunmen attack Pelambirni, burn two churches, Reverend’s house

Pelambirni, a village in Hawul Local Government Area of Borno State, was on Monday attacked by unknown gunmen suspected to be members of the Boko Haram.
The terrorists stormed the village early morning demanding money and valuables from the locals, after which they set ablaze two churches and the residential house of a retired cleric, Revd Y. Balami.
According to a source that spoke with DailyPost, residents had earlier thought that the gunmen were armed robbers, “but now that they killed people and burnt churches, I want to believe that this is more than armed robbery attack, perhaps they are part of the sect members”, he said.
