Fayose emerges as Ekiti PDP Gubernatorial Candidate

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has on Saturday in People Democratic Party (PDP) primaries emerged as the party candidate. He became the party's flag bearer after winning with a  462 votes out of 477 cast.

Fayose ruled the state between 2003 and 2006. He was succeeded by Engr Segun Oni whose election was annulled by the election tribunal. 

While Speaking with reporters shortly after the primary that held at Ado-Ekiti, the State Capital, Fayose enjoined other aspirants of the party to join hands with him in rescuing the state from the present administration.
He described the PDP primary process as transparent, successful and peaceful.
The major contender for Ekiti Government house  are the All Progressive Congress (APC) flagbearer, kayode Fayemi, PDP candidate, Ayodele Fayose and Labour Party (LP) candidate, Opeyemi Bamidele.
