Mutiny: Army removes Maiduguri Barracks GOC

The Nigerian Army has removed the General Officer Commander of its 7th Division, Major General Ahmadu Mohammed.
He was on yesterday shot at by angry soldiers at the Maiduguri’s Maimalari Barracks when they saw bodies of their colleagues killed by Boko Haram insurgents.
The GOC had allegedly insisted that the slain soldiers return to Maiduguri via a route considered dangerous.
