Kwankwaso reveals Jonathan’s plan of getting constitutional power to rule till 2023

Governor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso has revealed that the Federal Government is bent on imposing “a kangaroo referendum” to favour a draft constitution which would allow the President to rule for another 8 years from 2015.

During an interview conducted in Kano, he told Journalists “Of course all people that love this country and really understand the situation we are today and the likely consequences of another brand new Constitution which the Presidency wants to use to start eight years beginning from 2015 certainly is a very dangerous development.

He further said “And those that should care (presidency), those that should understand, are very busy on the air working and helping themselves to remain (in power) forever.” “What they are talking is how to extend the duration of the tenure of Mr. President to life presidency.

And it is very sad that this is happening now. I am one of those that have travelled across the world and I have an opportunity to read a lot especially in the areas of History and political situations across the world”.

Kwankwaso is widely believed to be a contestant for his Political Party’s (APC) Presidential ticket at 2015 General Election.
