16-year-old Twin locked up in Cage for 30 Months by her Parents

A group, Mary Slessor Twins Foundation  has rescued a  16-year-old twin, Blessing Olokumo locked up by her parents in a wooden cage for over 30 months on allegation of witchcraft in Bayelsa State.

She was accused of witchcraft  by her parents due to her strange behaviours in the house.

Blessing was locked up in a cage like an  animal by her parents but rescue came her way through a a group, Mary Slessor Twins Foundation

Acting President of the group, Mr. Tonyon Ebitei Robert, said Olokumo was locked up by her parent because she was always acting strangely and  defecating around the family's house.
Olokumo  was diagnosed with a strange illness, which triggers convulsion, over nine years ago but her parents have caged her, without treatment and  treating her like animals.
She has been taken to hospital for proper medical examination and treatment.
Meanwhile, the group said a formal complaint would be lodged with the police and charges of child molestation, inhuman treatment would be brought against the parent.
The victims father, also a twin works as a security officials with the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital, Bayelsa State.
