Impeach Amosun, Labour Party tell State assembly

Ogun State Governor, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun
The Ogun State Chapter of Labour party has demanded for immediate impeachment of the Governor of Ogun State, Senator Amosun Ibikunle over the incidence of violence recorded in the state recently.

The Party advised the state lawmakers to begin proceedings, without delay, leading to the impeachment of the Governor.

The party chairman, Mr. Bode Simeon, in a statement in Abeokuta stated that the governor has been responsible for the political violence and tension in the state.

He added:  “The Governor of Ogun State in his wisdom organised the destruction of lives and property of the citizen of Ogun State through the unleashment of terror by thugs of Ogun State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW)-led by Alhaji Akeem Adeosun (a.k.a) Jango and Mr. Sunday Yeye.

In his reaction, the state chairman of APC, Alhaji Sola Lawal, asked the legislator to disregard calls by the labour party to impeach the governor, saying that LP is joking.
