7 Laws of Wealth Creation

Nigeria is a blessed country.  The country is not only blessed with natural resources but also with good weather conditions.

In the Last 30 years, the country has made over $300 billion dollars in  Oil  Exploration but the majority has been squandered leaving the citizens to dwell in squalor and abject poverty.

According to reports from African Development Bank, “The proportion of people living below the national poverty line has worsened from 65.5 per cent in 1996 to 69.0 per cent in 2010.  To worsen the situation, most Nigerian are conditioned to be Job seekers. To create wealth in the country without compromising integrity requires these seven proven laws of wealth creation.

Here are the seven proven (7) laws of wealth creation

1.      Law of Burning Desire

Burning desire is passion and nothing of value can be achieved without a burning desire. Confucius says, “The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence”. The motivation to create wealth comes from a burning desire. Many people have motives without motivations. The proof of one’s burning desire is to carry out actions. It’s difficult to create wealth with 40 hours of work per week.

2.      Law of Small Beginning

Do not despise the days of little beginning. Everything starts small. Apple Inc, the most valuable company in the world started in a small garage in the 70s. You need to start small and grow. A small investment today can blossom to be a huge enterprise in the future. Entrepreneurs that started small are more usually successful than the ones that started big. Don’t wait until you are big before you start. A journey of thousand miles starts with a step. Your little income is not an excuse for not investing and starting.

3.      Law of Mentorship.

Mentorship is a personal developmental relationship in which a more experienced or more knowledgeable person helps to guide a less experienced or less knowledgeable person. It is about an on going relationship of learning, dialogue, and challenge. There is nothing you desire that someone else is not already doing. The master key to achieving anything is to study those who are successful in that area. Having a right association is very important. 58% of all graduate never finish a book or re-educate their mind. Benjamin Franklin says, "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.”

4.      Law of Maximization

A waster cannot build wealth. Most people are wasters of resources. Resources can be time, money, connections and goodwill.  I was appalled when a neighbour of mine died and no one could lay claim to any property or investment he acquired in his eight-five years of sojourn on earth. The rich maximize their resources to the fullest. Your income today is meant not only to cater for the present but also future needs. Maximizing resources is vital in wealth creation.

5.      Law of Persistence

Persistence is the staying power that conquers discouragement and challenges. In other words, it’s the fact of continuing in a course or opinion in spite of difficulty or opposition. The truth is that everybody persists in either a good or bad course. A rich person persist in good habits and attitudes while a poor man persists in indolence, stagnation or lack of desire. It’s a proof of your believe. Don’t endure nonsense but endure yourself in activities that lead to wealth. Persistence is a mirror of your self-discipline. People that create are very persistence in their journey to wealth. African richest man, Aliko Dangote is a good example of persistence in action. Though given a large chuck of money by his uncle in the 1970s, he never relented in his effort to build wealth. The result of  his diligence and persistence is very evident today. Show me a persistence person and I will show you are a man destined for wealth.

6.      Law of Entrepreneurship

Sustainable wealth is not built through paid employment though it can start from there. To build wealth, you must be an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship plays a vital role in wealth creation. Most people become rich by having companies. You have to start and build your company. It is absolute lie and laziness to say that there is no business in Nigeria. To  build wealth, start your business today.

7.      Law of  Divine Assistance

Building wealth can sometimes be very daunting and challenging. There is always an element of       divine assistance from the almighty God. The Bible says a man can receive nothing except it’s        given from above. This law is major point in wealth creation.

I hope you have learnt one or two rules in wealth creation. Whatever you must have learnt should be put into action. See you at the top
