FG declares January 14 as public holiday

In commemoration of Eid-el-Maulaud, the Federal Government has declared Tuesday, January 14, as public holiday.

Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Mrs. Fatima Bamidele, on Thursday in Abuja,  declared the public holiday and called on all Muslims and Nigerians in general to support President Goodluck Jonathan “in his sustained effort to build a peaceful, united and virile nation”.

The Government  also urged all Nigerians to pray for peace, unity and growth of the nation.
