Mu’azu begs Defected Governors to to return to PDP

The New Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu has urged Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido, to beg the five defected PDP governors to return to the party.

During a visit by the Jigawa State governor to Mu’azu, he said a committee to be constituted by the National Working Committee  of the party  will visit all the 5 defected governor to encourage them to return to the party.

Seven PDP governors were aggrieved with the leadership of the party but only five defected to All Progressive Party in 2013. Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido and his Niger State counterpart, Babangida Aliyu remain in the party while 5 governors defected to APC.

The five are Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers), Aliyu Wamakko(Sokoto),   Abdulfatai Ahmed (Kwara ) , Murtala Nyako (Adamawa), and Rabiu Kwakwanso(Kano).

Mu’azu, who was responding to a comment  by Lamido that those who  defected   did so in anger, said   that members of the PDP   NWC    would   look at all issues that  made  the party’s membership to be declining.
He appealed to PDP members to remain steadfast and committed, adding that these were  the only ways to tackle the problems facing the party.

Mu’azu  said, “PDP made most of the people and we expect that whatever be the case, we should remain within and   correct the needful for us to move forward.

The PDP Chairman assured all party members that the National Working Committee will work assiduously to resolved all grievances and issues in the party
