Senate President, David Mark loses sister during Child Birth

David Mark, Senate President of the |Federal Republic of Nigeria is bereaved over the death of his sister, Mrs. Mary Onma Adakole.

She was reported to have died during child birth in an undisclosed hospital on Wednesday

The baby is however said to be kicking and alive.

Special Adviser to  the Senate President, Kola Ologbondiyan in a statement said the late Mrs Adakole died at 35 and will be buried in Otukpo, Benue state.

Igoche Mark, the deceased brother described the late Mrs Adakole as “straight forward, hardworking and benevolent with plenty of unfulfilled vision.”

We commiserate with the entire family of the senate president and pray that God will give them the strength and fortitude to be the loss.

Recent statistics have shown that the maternal mortality rate in Nigeria is still one of the highest in the world. Countless lives are being lost during childbirth. Pregnant women have little or no access to proper health care facilities, qualified doctors and good medications
