According to punchng, Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly and 19 other Lawmakers on Wednesday formally defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
The Speaker, Mr Razak Atunwa, deputy Speaker, Prof. Yisa Mohammed, all principal officers of the house and many others People Democratic Party, (PDP) have all defected to APC.
According to the speaker, the defection of the lawmakers were due to the crisis in PDP.
The defected members which included the Speaker, Mr. Razak Atunwa, his deputy, Prof. Yisa Mohammed, all the principal officers of the House and many other members were elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
The House is made up of 24 members.
It would be recalled that 5 PDP governors defected to APC in 2013.
