Gov. Akpabio’s brothers give out N620m worth of SUVs to PDP loyalists

The wastage in governance is yet to be abated. While the Political Office holders ask Nigerian to manage, they continues to indulge in wastage of collective resources.  

According to reports, some brothers of Governor Godswill Akpabio, led by Prince Akpabio, distributed about 31 SUV to certain PDP stalwarts and some aides during the Yuletide period.

The 31 SUVs worth over N620 millions were distributed by the governor.s brother to some select PDP members who were believed to have  been loyal to PDP and the governor.

Each SUV costs N20 million. A PDP chieftain in the state who witnessed the distribution said “I witnessed the distribution of a fleet of brand new 31 SUVs, to PDP stalwarts and some questionable ‘loyalists ‘in the state.  The fleet scheme is master-minded by one of the clan members, Prince Akpabio fondly called ‘Mega’ by his political associates. 

Funds from local governments' account were allegedly used to purchase the illegal vehicle. Each local government was asked to cough out N20 million for the purchase.
