Breaking News: 11 Senators defect from PDP for APC

The defection train has now moved to the Upper legislative arm of the National Assembly with 11 Peoples Democratic Party Senators defecting to  All Progressive Party. 

Among the senators that defected are Bukola Saraki (Kwara Central), Mohammed Ndume (Borno South), Danjuma Goje (Gombe Central) and Abdullahi Adamu (Nasarawa West).

The defection was communicated in a letter addressed to the Senate President, David Mark on  Wednesday.

It would be recalled that Senator Bukola Saraki, Chairman Senate Committee on Ecology and Environment,  hinted on Monday that 17 PDP senators will defect to APC.

5 Governors, 37 House of Representative Members and 11 Senators from PDP have so far defected to APC.

The Interim National Publicity Secretary in statement  concerning the defection said, “This is only the first instalment of many other Senators of the Peoples Democratic Party expected to defect to the All Progressives Congress soon.”
